6th Grade Outdoor Science School at Home - May 3-7, 2021

We are excited to offer an Outdoor Science School Experience to all ISB 6th graders this May. Given COVID restrictions this year, it will be an at-home experience.

All 6th grade students are invited to participate in the NWRESD "Outdoor School @ Home" program during afternoons the week of May 3rd - 7th, beginning on May 3rd.  This program will involve synchronous Zoom sessions with Outdoor School staff members on each day of that week, except for Wednesday, as well as asynchronous activities for students.  Details and links to the Zoom sessions will be shared with families via email by the end of April.

To note, if your child is attending In-Person Hybrid, he/she will log in to the Zoom sessions from school on the days they are at school.

All 6th grade students will be receiving a backpack/kit of materials to be used with the Science Outdoor School @ Home lessons. Students attending school in person will get the bag in their science class this week. CDL students need to come pick up their materials from the main office this week from 8 am-2 pm. Call the school when you're here, let them know you need a 6th grade science backpack/kit and someone will bring a bag to your car.

Also, Outdoor Science School will be hosting an evening Campfire Program for 6th grade students on Thursday, May 6th from 7-8 pm. Students will receive the private YouTube link on their email and in the grade level canvas page on Thursday afternoon.

We look forward to sharing this Outdoor Science School experience with your child!

Students, check your canvas grade level page for more details about the schedule and events for the week!
